At Lalaga Pasifika Homeschool, our vision is to nurture connected, confident learners through culturally grounded education that is rooted in community, relationship, and belonging.
We believe education is more than curriculum. It is lived, shared, and shaped by the people and environments around us. Learning happens through culture, experience, service, creativity, and meaningful relationships — not in isolation. Our approach weaves education with identity, wellbeing, and active participation in the wider community.
Our Vision
To grow a strong, inclusive community of families where learning is culturally grounded, relationships are prioritised, and children are supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally — with a deep sense of belonging and purpose.
Our Values
Culture at the Centre
Pasifika values, knowledge, and ways of being guide our kaupapa. Cultural identity is affirmed, celebrated, and respected, while creating space for families of all cultures to share and belong.
Connection and Belonging
We believe children and families thrive when they feel seen, supported, and connected. Building genuine relationships is at the heart of everything we do.
Collective Care and Responsibility
Grounded in Pasifika principles of collective care, we value shared responsibility, mutual support, and working together for the wellbeing of our children and families.
Inclusive and Collaborative Learning
While Pasifika-led, Lalaga Pasifika Homeschool is intentionally inclusive. We value collaboration across cultures, experiences, and perspectives, recognising that diversity strengthens learning communities.
Active Community Participation
We encourage families to be active contributors — sharing skills, knowledge, and leadership. Learning is strengthened when families are engaged with their communities and understand their role within them.
Our Commitment
Lalaga Pasifika Homeschool is committed to building meaningful partnerships, nurturing leadership within families, and creating opportunities for children to engage with their communities in purposeful ways. Through culturally grounded, community-led education, we aim to raise young people who understand who they are, value others, and know they belong.
When families are woven together, learning deepens, community is strengthened, and children flourish.
